The Bike Project started in 2006 in the Urbana Independent Media Center, and in 2010 we partnered with the University of Illinois to open a second location on campus. We are a teaching shop, meaning that we don't repair your bikes for you, but our volunteers will help you learn how to make the repair yourself. Your first visit is free for minor repairs -- after that we ask you become a member.
